Missions at CHBC
Reynosa
CHBC has enjoyed a long history of serving in Reynosa, Mexico with Rio Bravo Ministries.
Throughout two decades of service we’ve had the privilege of helping build many structures on site, sponsoring dozens of children, and watching them grow up.
One of our very own, Rachel Lee, has served as a teacher at the associated school for the past two years.
New York City
Across the New York metropolitan area, over 22 million people call it home. But only around 3 percent of those would call themselves Christian.
New York is one of the most diverse places in the world. Over 600 languages spoken and over 1,000 cultures are represented. And they all need to hear the hope of the gospel.
Here is the encouraging news: the church is working. When we reach New York City, we have an opportunity to reach the world.
North Africa
Northern African and Middle Eastern peoples live in a place where history blends with the modern world.
Filled with unengaged and unreached peoples, there the church is engaged in a captivating resurgence unlike any other.
CHBC hopes to work with local missionaries and North African nationals to help serve and take the gospel to the unreached people througout that area of the world.
Go Students
One-third of those in the Tulsa area would consider themselves religious in some way but in reality many don’t know Jesus at all.
95% of people living in multi-housing, government housing, mobile home parks, etc are unchurched. Many people living in mobile home communities do not feel comfortable coming to a traditional brick and mortar church. So through the efforts of GO Students, we will take the church to them and partner with ministries throughout the Tulsa metro area.
On-Campus Outreach
The opportunities to share the hope we have in Jesus with our local community are growing. Our mission for on-campus outreach to provide a safe and reliable place that our community knows, loves, and trusts.
Whether it’s providing a place for elementary students to grow in literacy and basic math skills, opening our doors to adults seeking extra tutoring in ESL or for their GED test, to the more traditional Vacation Bible School, we love serving the people around us, in our context.
Local Missions Opportunities
The harvest is rich in our city, with a local metro population of over 1.4 million residents. Our desire is to make an impact in our schools and in our families and see people come to know and love Jesus.
Local missions are just as important as national and international missions, and provide incredible opportunities to serve right on your own doorstep and engage the entire family in kingdom-minded work.
The most approachable way to live sent is to engage in local outreach opportunities right in your own backyard.
